Online therapy provides professional mental health counseling through secure, HIPAA compliant video conferencing from the comfort of your own home. Sessions work just like traditional in person therapy. We'll meet at scheduled times to discuss your concerns, develop coping strategies, and work toward your goals. All you need is a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a private space where you can speak openly. Research shows that teletherapy is just as effective as face-to-face counseling for treating anxiety, depression, and many other mental health concerns.

A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes all the information your insurance company needs to reimburse you for out-of-network therapy services. It includes details like the date of service, diagnosis codes, procedure codes, session fees, and my provider information. After each session, I can provide you with a superbill that you submit directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. The amount you get reimbursed depends on your specific out-of-network benefits, which you can verify by calling your insurance provider ahead of time.

Your first therapy session is about getting to know each other and making sure we're a good fit. We'll talk about what initially brought you to therapy and start creating a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Together, we'll collaborate on setting treatment goals that actually matter to you, and I'll answer any questions you have about therapy, my approach, or what to expect moving forward. The goal is for you to leave feeling heard, hopeful, and clear on what our work together will look like.

There's no one-size-fits-all answer because it depends on what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to accomplish. While therapy and healing are an ongoing journey, my goal is to help you function in your everyday life at a higher level. How long that takes depends on factors like availability for scheduling, ongoing life challenges, and a commitment to implementing skills between sessions. Some clients start to feel better about the issues they came in for after a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support based on continued stressors or new challenges that come up. Ultimately, my goal is to help you meet your goals, whatever timeline that takes.
